1. I'm new here. How does this work?

The first time you want to watch a video, you need to purchase tokens and create a token wallet account.

When you purchase tokens, you will be taken to a ccbill page where you enter your billing information and create a login. This is your token wallet account and this login will be yours every time you return to this site.

So if this is your first time purchasing tokens, you pay for the tokens and create a login.

 If you need to buy MORE tokens to watch more videos, when you go back to the CCBill page, you enter your billing information again and you use the exact same username and password that you used the very first time you created your token wallet account.

That way, when you purchase additional tokens, they will be added to your original account.

Once you have tokens in your account, you find the video you want to watch and DOWNLOAD IT TO YOUR COMPUTER.  (for instructions on how to download the videos, please see question #5).

Do not just click on the link to watch the video.  You need to physically get the video to your computer by downloading it. 

Once the video is downloaded to your computer, find where the file is and open it.
You will be presented with a License Aquisition Window.  This is a pop-up window that opens and asks for your username and password.  The first time you view the video, you will have to enter your login.  But only the first time.

If your login is accepted, you will see a Play Button.  Click Play .. and then click Play again on Windows Media Player.

Please note:

If you play the video from our website, it will buffer and play frame by frame.

If you play from your computer, it will play like it's supposed to.

If you chose to rent a video, the license will expire automatically.


2. Will my Club JB password from jbvideo.com work here?

Nope.

Your login for Club JB is a monthly membership to jbvideo.com

Your login on this website (jbvideos.net) is access to your token wallet.

You create a login the first time you purchase tokens and then you use that same username and password each time you watch a video or purchase more tokens.

If you are a member of jbvideo.com, you can use the same login when you create your token wallet here.  But entering your Club JB password will not get you access to any videos here.

And purchasing tokens on this website will not get you access to Club JB.

4. Can I rewind and fast forward?

Yes and No.

Yes if you download the videos to your computer.  You can rewind and fast forward and skip around the video all you want.

No if you just push play and stream the video from our server. 

5. How do I download the video to my computer?

To download the video to your  computer (which we recommend for uninterrupted playback):

Method 1:

Simply Right-Click the video link instead of just clicking on it ... and then select "save target as" (in Internet Explorer)  or "save link as"  (in Firefox).

Please make sure you are not right-clicking on the picture of the model ... as this will only download an image and will take no more than 2 seconds.

You want to go to the page that has the description and sample pictures of the video you want to download ... scroll down to the bottom where you see "rent 1 day - 5 tokens"  or "View Unlimited - 30 tokens"  ... and THOSE are the links you want to right-click on to Save Target As.


Method 2:

Let the video play completely from beginning to end.  When the status bar reaches the very end of the video, you can go to the File menu in Windows Media Player and select "Save as"   and then save the file to your computer.  Then the next time you want to watch the video, simply find the file on your computer.

If you dont see the file menu in Windows Media Player, right-click on the very top of the player and you will see a menu pop up.  You can choose File > Save as from that pop up menu.

6. Is there a test I can do to see if your videos will work on my computer?

Yup .... and you should do this simple test before you purchase tokens on our site.

7. Once I download the video, can I burn it to a disk and watch it on my tv?

Our videos will only work on the computer on which you purchased the license.

That means it will not work if you burn a dvd and try to watch it on your tv.
That means it will not work if you purchase a video at work and come home and try to watch it.
Or try to watch it on any computer or device other than the one used for the initial purchase.

This is because when you purchase a video from this site, a license is downloaded onto your computer. Without the license, your video will not work and you will be prompted to purchase more tokens.

8. Do I need special software to watch your videos?

You only need Windows Media Player to watch these videos.
 
We recommend Windows Media Player version 11 which you can download here.

No other 3rd party software is supported.

9. What are the system requirements?

You should be able to play videos on 98SE or above with no problem.

Windows 95 could be hit and miss since Microsoft has officially stopped supporting that platform.

Please try the Sample Video as a test.

10. Will this work on a Macintosh?

Unfortunately, macintosh computers are unable to play DRM video files.

We heard a rumor that it might work if you have a new MAC with the new Intel processor that can run both MAC and XP Operating Systems. You can read more here: http://www.apple.com/macosx/bootcamp/.
 
We absolutely do not provide any support for Macintosh users.


11. How long does it take to download a video?

Our videos are encoded at DVD quality. (1000 kbps).

Because of the superior quality of these videos and because they are almost an hour in length, the video files are very large in size. They range from 100 MB to 500 MB and the duration of the download will depend on many factors including:

  • your internet connection
  • the distance you are from our U.S. server
  • if there are other people trying to download the video as well (or worse, trying to watch it without saving it to their computer first)

As an example, I am using a Cable modem and it usually takes me 15 to 20 minutes to download an entire video.

Yes it's a long time, but believe me, it's worth it.

12. The video is playing slow. There is a lot of buffering.

If the video is playing slow or is buffering ... then you did not download the video to your computer. You just clicked on the link and are watching it stream from our server.

You need to download the video to your computer.

 This is the only way you will get uninterrupted playback.

Please see question #5 above for instructions how to download to your computer.

13. If I rent a video and then I decide to buy the download for unlimited plays, do I get a credit for the money I spent renting it?

No.

Each choice, whether you rent it or own it, is a separate transaction. You do not get credit for renting if you then decide to make another transaction to buy it.

14. I bought some tokens and then went to watch a video but it says I have zero tokens available.... or the video isn't working.

If this happens, please contact us right away. You need to email us within the hour so we can help you troubleshoot.

Please dont buy any more tokens until we figure out why it's not working for you.

15. Are these videos available on DVD?

Yes, all our videos area available on DVD and you can find them in our free online catalog

16. I forgot my username or password.

During business hours (M-F 9am-5pm PST) you can contact us in the office and we can help you retrieve your username or password for your token wallet account.
